These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the BeHere app and website. By creating an account, accessing the app or using any feature, you agree to these conditions. This is a draft and will be revised before the official launch.
1. The service
BeHere is a family nighttime-routine app that offers stories, daily faith content, narration, ambient music, guided massage, check-in questions, guided prayer, a prayer journal and engagement features for families with children.
The content is designed to support moments of connection between guardians and children, especially at bedtime. BeHere does not replace the guidance of parents, guardians, spiritual leaders, healthcare professionals, educators or any specialized support.
2. Account and responsibility
The account must be created and managed by a responsible adult. By using BeHere, you declare that you are over 18 or that you have legal authority to register and manage the information of the children linked to the account.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe, for all registered information and for the use of the app by the children under your responsibility.
3. Children and supervision
BeHere was created to be used in a family setting and with adult supervision. The stories, prayers, questions and massage guidance should be conducted with care, affection and good judgment.
The massage guidance is intended to be affectionate, relaxing and family-oriented. It is not medical, physiotherapeutic or therapeutic treatment. If the child experiences pain, discomfort, a health condition, allergy, injury or any unusual reaction, stop using it and seek professional guidance.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Some BeHere features may be free, available during a trial period or purchased through a subscription.
Subscriptions, trial periods, renewal, billing, cancellation and refunds are processed by the App Store, Google Play or another authorized method indicated at the time of purchase. The rules of the corresponding store or payment platform prevail over billing and cancellation procedures.
Subscription cancellation must be done directly in the store or platform where the purchase was made. Deleting the app from your device does not automatically cancel the subscription.
5. Character Plan, photos and artificial intelligence
BeHere may offer a plan with personalized stories, in which the guardian provides the child’s name, preferences, descriptions, interests and, when available, photos to create personalized content with the support of artificial intelligence.
Submitting a child’s photos or information for personalized features requires specific authorization from the guardian. This information must only be submitted by someone who has legal permission to do so.
Stories, images, narrations and other content generated with the support of artificial intelligence may contain inaccuracies, creative variations or unexpected results. BeHere may review, adjust, block or remove generated content to preserve the safety, quality and family purpose of the service.
6. Permitted use
BeHere content is intended for personal and family use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, make publicly available, modify, reverse engineer, commercially exploit or attempt to circumvent the app’s technical measures.
You may also not use BeHere to send false, offensive, illegal, discriminatory, abusive, sexualized, violent or inappropriate information involving children or third parties.
7. Content and copyright
The stories, images, audio, music, characters, illustrations, texts, interfaces, brands, names, gamification features and other elements of BeHere are protected by copyright, trademarks and other applicable laws.
By using the app, you receive only a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to access the content within BeHere, according to your plan and the availability of the service.
8. Prayer journal and personal information
BeHere may allow the guardian to record prayer requests, mark prayers as answered and keep family memories. This information belongs to the family that registered it and must be used with care.
You must not register third-party data without authorization, nor record offensive, illegal or overly sensitive information when it is not necessary for the family purpose of the feature.
9. Service availability
We work to keep BeHere safe, stable and available, but the service is provided “as is” and may undergo maintenance, updates, instability, interruptions, changes in features or temporary limitations.
Features that depend on the internet, app stores, payment providers, artificial intelligence, audio services, storage or notifications may vary in ways outside BeHere’s direct control.
10. Account termination
You may request deletion of your account at any time through the channels available in the app or through the contact indicated in these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, compromise the security of the service, misuse children’s data or engage in conduct incompatible with BeHere’s family purpose.
11. Changes and contact
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in the app, plans, features, legal requirements or security and privacy practices.
